Teacher says Iowa students should pass civics exam before graduating →

“A high school English teacher thinks Iowa high school graduates should know as much about their government as immigrants must know to become naturalized citizens.”

This is a great idea, as it would either point out how much we expect from those seeking citizenship, or how inadequate our education system is. Maybe even both!
